Description of Service

The SFN Foundation provides educational resources, support services, and community forums for individuals affected by Small Fiber Neuropathy. Our services include website content, support groups, educational materials, and peer support communities.
Educational resources include information about Small Fiber Neuropathy, treatment options, research updates, and lifestyle management strategies. This information is provided for educational purposes and should not replace professional medical advice.
Support services encompass our online support groups, peer mentorship programs, and community forums where members can share experiences and provide mutual support. These services are facilitated by volunteers and may not always be available.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss that may result from such changes.

User Responsibilities

As a user of our services, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to use our services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Account security is your responsibility. You should choose a strong password, keep your login credentials confidential, and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Accurate information should be provided when creating accounts or participating in our services. You agree to keep your contact information up-to-date and to provide truthful information when interacting with our community.
Prohibited activities include using our services for any illegal purposes, attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, distributing malware or harmful code, or engaging in any activity that could damage or impair our services.
You are responsible for any content you post or share through our services and must ensure that such content does not violate these terms or infringe on the rights of others.

Community Guidelines

Our support community is built on mutual respect, empathy, and shared experience. All members are expected to interact respectfully and supportively with one another, creating a safe space for everyone affected by Small Fiber Neuropathy.
Respectful communication means treating all community members with kindness and understanding. Personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Medical advice should not be provided by community members unless they are qualified healthcare professionals. Members may share personal experiences and what has worked for them, but this should not be construed as medical advice.
Privacy and confidentiality must be respected. Do not share personal information about other members without their consent, and be mindful of your own privacy when sharing health information.
Prohibited content includes spam, commercial promotions, offensive material, false information, or content that violates applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines.
Violations of community guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from our community, depending on the severity of the violation.

Intellectual Property

The content on our website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and other materials, is owned by the SFN Foundation or our content providers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Limited use license is granted to you for personal, non-commercial use of our website content. You may view, download, and print content for your personal use, but you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
User-generated content that you post or share through our services remains your property, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute such content as part of providing our services.
Third-party content may be referenced or linked to from our website. We do not claim ownership of such content and are not responsible for its accuracy or availability.
If you believe that any content on our website infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us immediately with details of the alleged infringement.

Medical Disclaimers

The information provided through our website and services is for educational and support purposes only and should not be considered medical advice. We are not a substitute for professional medical care and treatment.
No doctor-patient relationship is created through your use of our services or participation in our community. Always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment decisions.
Individual experiences shared in our community reflect personal experiences and may not be applicable to your specific situation. What works for one person may not work for another, and treatment responses can vary significantly.
Emergency situations require immediate professional medical attention. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately rather than seeking help through our community or services.
We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any health information provided through our services. Medical knowledge evolves rapidly, and information may become outdated.

Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Service availability is not guaranteed. We may experience downtime, technical issues, or service interruptions beyond our control. We are not liable for any inconvenience or damages resulting from service unavailability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the SFN Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you have paid us for such services in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. This includes situations where we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in conduct harmful to our community.
You may terminate your use of our services at any time by simply discontinuing use of our website and services. If you have an account with us, you may also request account deletion.
Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately. However, provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.
We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the termination of your access to our services, including any loss of content or data.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
Significant changes that materially affect your rights or obligations will be communicated through prominent notice on our website or via email if you have provided us with your email address.
Your continued use of our services after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you should discontinue use of our services.
For questions about these Terms of Use or to request clarification about any provisions, please contact us through the contact information provided on our website.
